About Sylvia
I organise events and offer counselling.
I have over 10 years experience in voluntary agencies and private practice.
I have an Advanced Diploma in Counselling validated professionally by COSCA and academically by Napier University.
As a member of BACP I work to their ethical framework for good practice.
I am a member of Person-Centred Therapy Scotland and other Person-Centred organisations.
Through my personal and professional development I am interested in training and exploring ways of developing the approach.
I offer short or long term counselling either on a weekly or fortnightly basis according to your needs.
My particular areas of interest are: adoption, attachment, childhood loss and trauma, Identity, mental health issues, spiritual growth and the expressive arts..
I believe that we have within us the wisdom and resources to develop to our full potential. I work with clients from this philosophy, not leading, but sensitively alongside you on your journey of self-discovery by creating a relationship with you, where you can experience your worth without conditions. This process can release your natural flow towards self fulfilment.
I also offer clients the opportunity to engage in expressive therapies.
I practise Reiki healing and Indian Head Massage.
